2016 World Cup of Hockey Jerseys: The good, the bad, and the ugly

Now that we've heard all about the initial rosters for each team participating in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey tournament, we're going to have a look at each jersey (courtesy of the NHL), and I'll give some quick thoughts on them!

Team USA

DISCLAIMER: The dark jerseys I'm not a huge fan of. They're simple, but I would have liked a bit more white in the mix. The white jerseys, however, are way better. The NHL didn't feature both jerseys for each team, but instead of the crest they went with the diagonal "USA" on the chest of the jersey. I think USA wins for having "Home of the Brave" and "Land of the Free" on the inside collar.

Team Canada

The logo isn't that good, and I don't like the sleeves. I suppose if you change up the logo, it looks way better. I don't know, I just think it looks really weird.

Team Sweden

Classic triple crown for Team Sweden. Can't go wrong with that, but the gold lining I'm unsure of, especially around the cuff. Looks weird.

Team Finland

I don't really understand why they moved the Lion up to the shoulder, and why the color is different from the jersey itself. Finland has always had great jerseys, but this one is just "meh" to me.

Team Russia

These are beautiful. The front logo looks magnificent, and vibrant. Well done.

Team Czech Republic

I think the Czech jerseys are one of my favorites. Simple, nothing crazy or fancy. The logo blends in perfectly.

Team Europe

Uhh.. Nah.

Team North America

A lot of people think this one is hideous, but I am in love with it. The black and orange combo with the devilish-looking logo is menacing as all hell. The textured grey is a bit strange, but whatever. Team Young Villains comin' in hot.

The one thing I didn't like at first was the Adidas-like striping down the side of the torso, but it's really grown on me with these jerseys. Since the NHL is moving over to Adidas for their jerseys in the near future, I am a bit concerned if that will be a thing with every NHL team now. I sure hope not.
