Despite a tough 5-2 loss, Red Wings center prospect Axel Holmstrom managed to gather two assists with Skellefteå. Holmstrom now has 19 points (4 goals, 15 assists) this season. The 19-year-old's two-point game puts him atop the list for most-scoring U20 players in the SHL.

The very awesome, smart, and handsome Patrik (also known as @Zeb_Habs on Twitter) caught both of Holmstrom's assists today:

Axel Holmstrom is expected to spend another season in the SHL with Skellefteå for development. Patrik had written a great article about the SHL's development system, and how it can greatly benefit it's players. I suggest giving it a read: The SHL and NHL: A system in symbiosis?
