Today we found out some information on upcoming pre-season matches and a little roster info.
Jimmy Howard is starting in Friday’s pre-season game, while Petr Mrazek will start Saturday. Henrik Zetterberg is also expected to play Saturday. It seems likely that the Saturday lineup will be the NHL team, with Friday likely being players still fighting for spots.
Mike Green is skating, but is still considered day-to-day. Dan Renouf is out for a week.
With so many people still on the NHL roster, we were thinking we would see some Detroit players put on waivers today, but it appears that is not the case.
We’ll update this post if players leave the NHL roster who don’t have to clear waivers.
