Morning Skate: Detroit Red Wings @ Philadelphia Flyers, Projected Lineup, How to Watch

NHL: Preseason-Detroit Red Wings at Toronto Maple Leafs John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Detroit Red Wings at Philadelphia Flyers (Fox Sports Detroit, 7:00pm)

Back to Philly, where things haven’t gone well for the Red Wings in a long time. Jeff Blashill is trying to shake things up by placing after he was called up, Tyler Bertuzzi on the Red Wings top line. Both teams come into the game at 6-6-1.

Can Bertuzzi provide the spark that Blashill is looking for? Just as important how long will Blashill keep Bertuzzi on the top line tonight?

The Wings have proven to be streaky coming out flat, then hot and now flat being winless in five games, including an OT loss in Philly last week. Scoring just nine goals in those five games while allowing 17.

Detroit needs to someway and somehow get it together and quick because including tonight the rest of this month looks tough. If they cannot improve their play, this could be a difficult few weeks for the Red Wings. It starts in a city where we know they simply haven’t won.
