2016-17 Red Wings Preseason Schedule Released

Another eight games against the usual suspects for the Wings to get ready for the season

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today announced their 2016-17 preseason schedule.

The Red Wings begin their preseason slate by hosting the Eastern Conference-champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Detroit will then play two back-to-back sets against the Boston Bruins (in Boston on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and at Joe Louis Arena on Friday, Sept. 30) and Chicago Blackhawks (in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 2 and in Chicago on Tuesday, Oct. 4). The Red Wings will also visit the Penguins (Wednesday, Oct. 5) and Toronto Maple Leafs (Friday, Oct. 7) before wrapping up the preseason against the Maple Leafs at home on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Tickets for all Red Wings home preseason games will go on sale on Friday, Aug. 19 and can be purchased at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office (313-471-7575), all Ticketmaster outlets (800-745-3000) or online at DetroitRedWings.com. The complete 2016-17 preseason schedule can be found below.
