If you missed yesterday’s game between Team Sweden and Team North America, I feel really bad for you. It went to three-on-three overtime and it was the most exciting five minutes of my life. It’s games like this the NHL wants to have on ESPN in front of a humungous crowd. Too bad it was at 3 p.m., while everyone is at work. Here’s our game recap.
Today is mostly teams playing for position in the semifinals, only a couple of Red Wings players in action today. Here’s how to watch:
Thursday, Sept. 22
Team Finland vs. Team Russia, 3 p.m.
TV Broadcast: ESPN, SN, TVA Sports
Live Stream: WatchESPN
Team USA vs. Team Czech Republic, 8 p.m.
TV Broadcast: ESPN2, SN, TVA Sports
Live Stream: WatchESPN
After being toyed with by Team Canada, Team USA looks to defend whatever honor it has left in a seemingly pointless match-up against Team Czech Republic. Sources tell me that Team USA will be reading tweets from other NHL players before the game to pump themselves for of nude-and-red anger before puck drop.
Tomorrow will be an off-day for the World Cup of Hockey, and semifinals start up on Saturday. Prepare yourselves.
