Frans Nielsen is an all star.
The 32-year-old center will be Detroit’s representative in Los Angeles for the 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend January 28 and 29.
Nielsen has 8 goals and 14 assists in 40 games so far for Detroit, good for third on the team.
He will play on the Atlantic Division team, captained by Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens. The Atlantic Division coach is Michel Therrien, also from Montreal.
