KEYS TO THE GAME

Feed the Kids

There can be little to no doubt right now that the Athanasiou-Larkin-Mantha line is the best offensive line the Red Wings have right now. They are fast, dynamic with the puck and unafraid to make a play. The downside to having one main scoring line is it makes it easier for the opposing team to slow them down. The good thing about having those three on a line together is their size, speed, strength and smarts makes it tough to slow them down for a full game.

Stop the Pyatt-Brassard-Stone Line

Similarly, the Senators are relying mainly on their top line to carry the offensive load for them early on. If the Red Wings can keep them off the scoreboard it will be very difficult for Ottawa to come away with the two points. It will be interesting to see who Blashill tries to match up with them and who Boucher sends them out against.
