Devils Blog: All About The Jersey

Welcome back to Red Wings hockey! To everyone who celebrated Christmas, I hope you had a great time, because the Wings certainly haven’t given us much to celebrate this season and it’s doubtful things are going to go up from here. But then again, time of miracles, baby saviors, myrrh, etc.

The Wings are coming in off of back to back losses last week, although I do not acknowledge the results of any game in which Brad Marchand scores, so let’s just say they lost to the Flyers and then had a game had been played against the Bruins the results of said game would NOT have been good.

The Devils have really turned things around from last year when they hanging out at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with only 70 points, but hey no worries for us, it will probably only take 70 points to make the playoffs out of the Atlantic. The Devils currently lead the Metro and are chasing down the Lightning for top of the Eastern Conference, a far cry from the team that would face backup goalies night after night because nobody considered them a threat - a thing that would NEVER happen to us.

It’s gonna be a tough one tonight, but as I’ve been saying all year, the Red Wings need to embrace the role of the “spoiler”. We may lose a lot but watch out, if you’re a team rising through the standings we just might spoil your day.

Let’s Go Red Wings!
