For all the complaining we fans do about refs and the seemingly lopsided standards, it's important to remember that these guys are where they are for a reason and that despite mistakes, they do try to continuously improve. I'm warning you guys up front, this is a long read, but worth it.
Not really what any of us want to hear, but it was his first game coming back from an injury that's tough for any player to deal with. Knees are terrible places to get injuries. This isn't to say Howard is going to suck when he's officially back, or that he should be given tons of extra slack, or that the Wings are going to be doomed any more or less than they have been already. Just.... maybe we should be prepared to have some patience with Jimmy.
