Despite some late game heroics from Tomas Tatar, the Red Wings come into the second game of a back to back looking for a win after losing 3-2 in overtime to the Calgary Flames last night.

No rest for the weary it seems as they will get their first look at the Oilers new home as well as try their hand at slowing down MVP candidate Connor McDavid. The second year star has been nothing short of spectacular at time this season and appears to be leading the Oilers back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2005-06 season.

Help is on the way though for the Wings though as they welcome Gustav Nyquist back after his six game suspension. No official words yet on where he will slot into the lineup but my guess/preference would be to have Nyquist take Vanek’s old spot on a line with Nielsen and Athanasiou and put Riley Sheahan with Luke Glendening and Mitch Callahan.

This should be a pretty entertaining game to watch, I just hope it is not just the Oilers and their superstar doing the entertaining.
