Gameday Updates: Montreal Canadiens at Detroit Red Wings: Line Combinations, Key Matchups

New, comments
NHL: Detroit Red Wings at Montreal Canadiens Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Just as predicted this morning, Matt Lorito will make his NHL debut tonight in place of the injured Andreas Athanasiou. Lorito will also in fact slot in on a line with Dylan Larkin and Justin Abdelkader as well.

Petr Mrazek is starting tonight, so look to Jimmy Howard to start tomorrow in the last game at The Joe.

Should be fun to watch, hopefully the boys can put on a show for the fans this weekend and close out the Joe in proper fashion.

Players to Watch

Matt Lorito

Another Grand Rapids player makes his Red Wings debut as an injury to Andreas Athanasiou led to the Red Wings calling up Matt Lorito. He will make his NHL debut on a line with Dylan Larkin and Justin Abdelkader. In a lost season it is nice to see some fresh faces getting a chance to achieve their NHL dream.
