Keys to the Game
Teary Eyes and Full Hearts
It’s going to be an emotional night, the actual game will be a relief from the nonstop barrage of memories and tributes and give you a chance to grab more tissues. It would be the most Red Wings thing ever to lose badly, especially in front of all the alumni, but hopefully the feelings factor will be in our favor and propel us to a solid victory.
A Bunch of Kids and an Old Goat
Tonight is game number 1000 for Henrik Zetterberg, and as Holmstrom got a snowmobile on his anniversary I only expect Zetterberg to receive some sort of Cinderella carriage or an Ikea branded blimp. Due to various circumstances we’ve had a chance to get a glimpse at a lot of kids and gotten a better idea of where this team is headed. With Zetterberg’s leadership and the kids’ energy, and if Blashill stays out of the way, this team could put together a decent new foundation and it will be interesting to see how things pan out over the summer.
