Red Wings have two clubs among final 20 in 'Greatest Teams' voting | by Ansar Khan, MLive.

This is a couple days old, but I figure it will be good fodder for debate. Any time you have fans voting on something, it is unlikely to end well. I’m expecting the winning team to be Pucky McPuckface. Which Red Wings teams do you think should have received consideration and which teams would you take off?

Around the League

NHL fines Getzlaf $10K for homophobic slur | The Canadian Press, TSN

Getzlaf was captured by television cameras appearing to shout the inappropriate remark in frustration with an official after returning to Anaheim's bench during overtime.

One year ago, Chicago forward Andrew Shaw was suspended for one game and fined $5,000 for directing a homophobic slur toward an official during a playoff game.

"While Mr. Shaw was apologetic and remorseful for both the offensive comments and the inappropriate gesture directed at the on-ice officials, he must be held accountable for his actions," said Campbell said at the time of Shaw's April 21, 2016 suspension. "The emotion of the moment cannot and will not be a mitigating factor for the conduct that is expected of an NHL player." (emphasis mine).

The above section is why I included this. I continually criticize the NHL’s lack of consistency, and I will do again here. After the increased visibility of the “Hockey is for Everyone” and the “You Can Play Project,” the NHL needs to stick with its prior precedent and suspend Getzlaf.

But they didn’t because it’s the Western Conference Final. Which shows that it’s just lip service.
