Welcome to day two of the 2017 NHL Draft.

The Red Wings drafted center Michael Rasmussen with No. 9 pick Friday night. Many would call it a controversial pick, including all of us here at Winging it in Motown. We hope the Red Wings will rebound and make a splash today, as they have a batch of picks to work with.

Yes, the Wings will have 10 picks going into today. It’s highly likely they try to make a trade to move up. We’ll see what happens. Here’s how you can watch:

10 AM EDT / 9 AM CDT
United Center | Chicago, Illinois, USA
American TV: NHL Network | Canadian TV: Sportsnet
Live streaming: NHL.com (free)

Here’s how the Red Wings will pick today:

38th
71st
79th
83rd
88th
100th
131st
162nd
164th
193rd

Will the Wings trade up? Maybe. Will they trade down? It’s possible. Who knows at this point. All we know is that they are in desperate need of a redeeming day after a disappointing 1st round.
