With the 164th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, the Red Wings select defenseman Reilly Webb. Detroit — again — goes with a blue liner with some size. Webb is a 6’3” and 195 lbs. The right shot d-man one assist in 12 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL last season. Webb missed time with the Bulldogs back in 2015-16 with a dislocated right shoulder he suffered in practice. It appears he’s been dealing with injuries the last two seasons, but has some potential upside. It’s the 6th round... might as well take a chance on a home run here.
Love the Reilly Webb pick up by Detroit at 164. Missed most of the season with an injury, but he has a lot of potential.

Detroit goes full upside at 164. Reilly Webb showed he can be a force on the back line when he returned from injury. #Bulldogs #RedWings https://t.co/iH8Xnxby0g

Nice reach by Detroit to grab @BulldogsOHL D man Reilly Webb . Missed a ton of time last year with injury and would have been rates higher
