Dare we make it three wins in a row?

Tonight we take on the Sens and they are at “jerseys tossed to the ice” levels of disappointment. They’ve lost 5 of their last 6 games, including being dismantled by the Bruins twice (5-1 and then 5-0). In fact, they’ve actually lost 17 of their last 21 games, including being shut out 5 times in December alone. We’ve got two wins in a row and are looking for number three - have we even had a 3 game win streak this season? I don’t think so…

There’s quite a bit of good news in Red Wings land lately. Nyquist found his scoring touch, he had a lot of chances over the past few games and it paid off with goals #99 and #100 against the Penguins. Jimmy was very strong our last two games, he especially helped us get the victory against the Rangers. Bertuzzi was told to find a place to live because he is staying in Detroit with the Wings and Mantha skated with the team yesterday and is ready to join the lineup tonight after missing two games with a groin injury.

Zetterberg took a maintenance day yesterday so he’ll be refreshed and ready to go on his new year scoring run as well. He’s expected to be ready to go tonight.

The past two games had the fanbase back to our rowdy obnoxious selves - let’s keep the party going!

Let’s Go Red Wings!
