Red Wings Send Christoffer Ehn to Grand Rapids

The move is to open a roster spot for forward Jacob de la Rose.

With Jacob de la Rose, recently acquired off of waivers from Montreal, being officially cleared for practice, a roster move had to be made, and forward Christoffer Ehn was the roster casualty, being sent down to Grand Rapids today.

In 9 games with Detroit this season, Ehn produced 1 assist and averaged 9:36 a game, the lowest on the team.

Also, based on the team pairings in practice, Mike Green looks to be ready to make his season debut Friday night. He skated on a pairing with Dennis Cholowski today.

Ehn making the team out of camp was surprising to many, and he played fine in limited minutes. The team wants to see what they can get out of de la Rose, and Ehn makes the most sense out of the forwards to send down.
