Ducks Blog: Anaheim Calling

The Red Wings get finish up their mini-West Coast road trip (S/O the move to the Eastern Conference) by heading into Anaheim to take on the Ducks. After last night’s loss to the Kings in which they outplayed LA, the Red Wings look to continue to get production out of their young players. Especially with guys like Ericsson, Green and Kronwall out at least through this road trip (and with Daley questionable now as well). They new-look Red Wings be tested once again tonight vs. the Ducks.

The Ducks got some very bad news in late-September that Corey Perry will be sidelined for what many expect to be five months. However, they are off to a good start on the year, with back-to-back wins over the Sharks and Coyotes. While many sort of expect the Ducks window to have closed on being a true Cup contender, the veteran forward presence of Jakob Silfverberg, Ryan Getzlaf, Rickard Rakell and Adam Henrique have Anaheim off to a good start as they look to start a year 3-0 for the first time since 2006-07 aka the year they won their only Stanley Cup.
