How long does the party bus keep on a-rollin? Any guesses? It feels like we’re pretty far removed from the humiliating start to the season, but still hard to say if this is the pride before the fall or if #TeamTank really does need to consider alternate drafting strategies.

If you haven’t been on the roller coaster, and I have been assured that even people shorter than Joe Hicketts are allowed to ride, the Wings have won 3 straight games that required overcoming multi-goal deficits. Crazy right?

I hate to say it, but some credit is due to the defensive corps. Somehow having the same ol same ol defense as last year is vastly more tolerable with the addition of Dennis Cholowski, however the return or not-return of Jonathan Ericsson could tip the scales either way.

However, I’m pretty sure Jimmy and Bern have had their fill of facing a billion shots a night and would be happy for the defense to actually STOP shots before they happen. Goaltending has kept the Wings hanging around long enough for the offense to chip in and steal these wins, maybe the defense could help too.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps.

Speaking of defense, in Arizona land rumor has it Jakob Chychrun is ready to return after having surgery seven months ago for a torn ACL. Arizona has a pretty good blue line in general, and with Chychrun in the mix they have the opportunity to be particular about how they match defensive pairings against opponent lines.

Too many good defensemen? Can’t relate.

Wings are looking to keep on rolling and get another win - whether it’s a weird win with stupid goals, a come from behind dramatic victory, or just good old fashioned playing good hockey. Find a way.

LET’S GO RED WINGS!
