Coyotes D Alex Goligoski (LBI) still day-to-day, won't play vs. Wings. Nor will G Antti Raanta (LBI). Both skated today (Raanta for 1st time since going on IR), felt better. Coach Rick Tocchet wants Raanta to practice a few times before returning. Darcy Kuemper starts in Detroit.

Keys to the Game
Can’t blow a 3rd period lead if you don’t have one
It’s somehow less stressful to be losing going into the 3rd than winning, lately it seems more likely we will take a lead than maintain one we’ve already got. Well, less stressful for the fans. I’m pretty sure Jimmy’s chronically fed up and Blash will be cranky even if we win by 100 goals.
Given how many leads we’ve blown in the third period, it’s extremely satisfying to inflict that misery on others. I’ve been saying it for months - if you can’t be champions then be the spoilers who ruin other teams’ lives.
The Old Young Guns Are More Than Adequate
Larkin, AA, and Mantha. Each has, and will continue, to be criticized for every little thing deserved or not but right now they are each carrying their weight and more.
Larkin has been the top line center of our dreams and shows no signs of slowing down, training wheels came off this season and he’s stepped into the leadership role marvelously. AA and Mantha have been on fire getting pucks to - and into - the net. I don’t think I’ve seen a criticism of Mantha calling him lazy in like two entire days, a record!
Maybe try not letting them get shots on net
Just a suggestion, I promised my friend Hames Jiberius Toward I would mention it.
LET’S GO RED WINGS!
