In Red Wings Land
Detroit Red Wings’ Filip Zadina could be NHLer in ‘a month’ or ‘2 years’ | Freep
“I talked to Ken Holland this morning, he thought it was the best game Zadina had played, so it’s a good sign in the right direction,” Blashill said Thursday at Canadian Tire Centre, where the Wings have an evening game scheduled against the Senators. “I think the biggest thing I’d say is, it’s a learning process. The time and space in the AHL is like the NHL, and it’s way harder than in junior hockey or in college hockey. So you have to learn how to manage that time and space and then create offense. It was something that he struggled with in the preseason with us, that’s why he went down, and he’s learning it.”
I predict Filip Zadina will get a few games at the end of the season. He’ll get a chance and then he’ll be up on the Red Wings opening night roster to kick off the 2019-20 season.
