In Red Wings Land
How one Detroit Red Wings defenseman has made a huge difference | Freep
“For a first-year guy like me coming in and seeing a guy who has been in the league for so long and played so many games is huge,” Cholowski said. “He brings so much offense with his skating and his skill, and then he’s reliable in the d-zone as well.
“He never panics. Skates so well. That’s what I want to be as my career progresses and it’s really good for me to be around that.”
Cholowski, 20, sits next to Green in the locker room. The two often have been paired together during games.
If Dennis Cholowski ends up having a career similar to Mike Green, it wouldn’t be the worst outcome in the world. Both of the defensemen showcased their offensive abilities last night by each scoring a goal in the Red Wings 7-5 loss to the Blue Jackets.
