What’s really going on with Little Caesars Arena’s empty seats
Freep.com
Carlos Monarrez has an interesting article here about what is going on with the empty seats in the LCA. The optics of all those empty seats is terrible, and even if they’re sold out, I don’t care for the message it sends. The Joe was place where you went to watch some freakin’ hockey, troughs and all. The LCA seems like some sort of theme park.

NHL GMs vote ‘overwhelmingly’ in favor of centralizing goaltender interference review
TheHockeyNews.com
Jared Clinton’s article actually covers a lot of odds and ends, including news on the expected Seattle expansion and a rising salary cap. But the most exciting immediate news is that the GMs want to let Toronto make the final call on goaltender interference. There is something that doesn’t quite sit right with me about this because I don’t like the idea of a ref’s judgment being taken from him, but with the mess surrounding goalie interference this season, something had to be done.
