Penguins blog: Pensburgh

6 games to go, and 4 of them are at home! We’re back in Hockeytown after taking on the Habs last night in Montreal where Nyquist scored his 20th goal of the season and gave exactly 0.37 poops about it. Coreau’s simulation seemed to lack important physical properties, but he sure looked like he was in the net.

The players are in moral victory mode talking about playing for pride, playing for the logo on their chest, and generally trying to ruin the lives of #TeamTank fans everywhere. And it sure is satisfying beating the Penguins no matter how meaningless - or even detrimental - the victory.

Speaking of teams hating each other, the Penguins last played on Sunday when they beat the Flyers 5-4 in OT. While tonight’s game isn’t huge for the Pens as we aren’t in the *waves hands* Metro Division, they are trying to chase down the Caps so every point counts.

One area the Penguins have struggled recently is the penalty kill, it’s hasn’t been terrible this season but they’ve had a down stretch. In general, they have been trying to find consistency - not unlike us - so this could be a very interesting game.

Let’s Go Red Wings!
