After what seemed to be like a never-ending season of sadness, the 2018 NHL Draft has crept up on us, and now the 1st round will get underway this evening. The Buffalo Sabres are set to take the generational talent that is Rasmus Dahlin, and everyone else will get... Well, not Rasmus Dahlin. As of this very moment, the Red Wings will pick 6th overall — meaning they will have their pick at a handful of players, both at forward and defense. If you’re planning to watch tonight, here’s how you can tune in:

Coverage begins at 7pm on NBC Sports Network

Who’s it gonna be?

The Red Wings could go a number of ways with their two picks tonight. Perhaps they go defense, maybe they go offense. There’s a chance they try and move up or down in the order, but here’s a look at who could be on the board when the 6 is on the clock:

Evan Bouchard - Defenseman, London Knights
Adam Boqvist - Defenseman, Brynäs IF
Noah Dobson - Defenseman, Acadie–Bathurst Titan
Quinn Hughes - Defenseman, University of Michigan
Ty Smith - Defenseman, Spokane Chiefs

Jesperi Kotkaniemi - Center, Assat
Brady Tkachuk - LW, Boston University
Oliver Wahlstrom - Center, NTDP

Possible picks at 30th overall

Mattias Samuelsson - Defenseman, NTDP
Jett Woo - Defenseman, Moose Jaw Warriors
Kevin Bahl - Defenseman, Ottawa 67s
Ryan Merkley - Defenseman, Guelph Storm

Dominik Bokk - RW, Vaxjo
Ty Dellandrea - Center, Flint Firebirds
Jay O’Brien - Center, Thayer Academy
Benoit-Olivier Groulx - Center, Halifax Moosehead

There’s a chance the Red Wings try and make some moves, but their best bet is to sit still and K.I.S.S. — Keep It Simple Stupid. Great advice, hurts my feelings every time.

Nevertheless, we’ve got you covered this weekend. Make sure to keep tabs here for an open thread conversation, and on our Facebook page. I’ll be going live with reaction, analysis, and to answer any questions you may have. LGRW
