In Red Wings Land
Red Wings, Dylan Larkin continue discussing long-term deal I MLive
The Red Wings, a source said, have been pushing for five years. Larkin and his representatives are seeking six years. Chances are it’ll be in the $6 million-a-year range.
I would prefer six years and a cap hit around $6 million seems reasonable. A possible comparable to Dylan Larkin is Bruins forward David Pasternak. He got a 6-year, $40 million deal last offseason and is the same draft class as Larkin. I think Pastrnak is a better player and his cap hit is currently $6,666,666, so Larkin should come in under that.
