In Red Wings Land
Filip Zadina signed his ELC yesterday and it appears that next season he’ll either be a member of the Red Wings or headed to the AHL. So what’s the best option?
I have a take.

The best thing for the Red Wings is to give Zadina 9 games in the NHL and then let him spend the rest of the year in the AHL https://t.co/efgjKGn6Pl
Only reason I bring this viewpoint up is that 99% of fans want to see him in Detroit. As much as I want to see that too because the last couple of years have been rough to watch, the smarter move would be to slide the contract for at least this year

I do like the idea of being able to slide Zadina’s contract, but, man, I also like the idea of him scoring 30 goals next season and winning the Calder. I really don’t know what the right call is here and I’m glad I’m not making the decision.
