Did Detroit Red Wings help or hurt rebuild with veteran signings? | Freep

After the signings of Thomas Vanek and Mike Green, my initial answer to the question would be that Ken Holland has hurt the rebuild. However, the actual (and boring) answer is TBD.

We need to see how many kids — Filip Zadina, Michael Rasmussen, Evgeny Svechnikov, Filip Hronek, etc — actually make the opening night roster and we need to see their development over the course of the season.
