Welcome to the newest WIIM Radio! This time around we have me along with Peter, Prashanth and our brave host Kyle to run us through the paces. Here’s what we got up to:

The Larkin Deal - Larkin’s non-bridge deal plays well on the gamble on where he’s likely to fall on the realm of possibilities for reaching his ceiling. There’s a great chance it’ll be a very good deal to build around and even if it turns out all wrong, it’s still a decent deal.

The Transition - We all figure Larkin is the next captain with Zetterberg reaching the end of his career and eventually the end of his contract, but we talked about how Larkin’s deal fits very nicely into the most-sensible transition timeline from a standpoint of selling the team to fans who put so much stock into the value of the captaincy.

The Sunset - Before we get to the end of Hank’s career, we’re probably getting there quicker with Nik Kronwall. It’s tough to properly appreciate him right now, but that’s all we can try to do in this moment. Where does Kronwall fit in the ol’ memory banks?

Top 25 Under 25 - WIIM is currently in the thick of their T25U25 and we allowed the fans to control how the rankings went. Kyle gives us the rundown on how things are progressing in our summer fun and we talked about surprises to this point.

The Lineup - Something still has to give for the Wings to make space going into the season and that space absolutely needs to be used correctly for a rebuilding team. Nothing new here, but it’s real hard to say everybody is going to be around when things kick off based on the outlook right now.

Positivity Corner - It feels good to feel good.

Reader Questions - Not too many questions here, but the quality was top-notch on what did get asked. Some great questions for us this go-round! Listen in for PK, Z, C, OT, and other letters!
