Custance: What Henrik Zetterberg’s absence would mean to Red Wings, starting with the captaincy | The Athletic ($)
There was a lot of discussion about Henrik Zetterberg, Dylan Larkin and the Red Wings’ captaincy on the latest edition of WIIM Radio.
My hot take: Zetterberg is done forever. He’ll never play another NHL game. The Wings will roll with three alternate captains this upcoming season and Larkin will be one of them. Next offseason will be the transition of moving the ‘C’ to Larkin because Zetterberg is going to remain LTIRetired.
