In Red Wings Land
Filip Hronek improved in Detroit but may be locked in Grand Rapids - MLive
Pete Wallner writes up about the reality that Hronek likely won’t be back up with the big club immediately after the break. Hronek seems to understand the right things to say to the press about it at least, even if you know he can’t be thrilled about that.
“I’m here and go day by day and I’m not thinking what happens in a week or whatever.” he said. “I’m trying to help the team here and get to the playoffs.”
Around the League
Brianna Decker to be paid $25K by CCM for skills competition - ESPN
The fact that this took a social media campaign and one of the sponsors to step up here is sad for a league that on the same day this happened talked about how inclusion and diversity are pillars of theirs.
But hey, better late than never:
NHL announces they will be donating $25k to the charities of choice for each of the women's hockey players who participated last night. no mention of decker's time, which they allegedly checked earlier today. #NHLAllStar
