In Red Wings Land
Red Wings’ Filip Hronek making a statement to remain in the NHL | The Detroit News
The big buildings and bright lights of the NHL, that’s where Hronek wants to stay.
Hronek, who didn’t look ready when he was in the lineup because of a slew of injuries when the regular season started, looks more comfortable this time around.
“Is he making a statement?” asked coach Jeff Blashill, of Hronek. “Every time you play, you got a chance to make a statement, one way or another. He’s had a number of good statements.”
I absolutely love that Filip Hronek is getting a chance to learn on the job. Blashill talks in the article about Hronek’s awful game against Dallas a few weeks back and how he holds himself accountable, but isn’t dwelling on it. He learns and moves on. It’s so crucial for the Red Wings and their future that these kids keep getting real, valuable NHL minutes this season.
