In Red Wings Land
Detroit Red Wings Tyler Bertuzzi (concussion) close to returning | Freep
Pending clearance from team medical personnel, Bertuzzi could be available to the Detroit Red Wings as soon as Thursday; if not, then the weekend series against Philadelphia. Bertuzzi has been sidelined since suffering a concussion Jan. 22 at Edmonton on a hit late in the game.
“I knew something was up,” Bertuzzi said. “I’ve had a couple. I know the feeling — foggy, kind of not feeling right, little bit of blurry vision. My neck was sore, too.”
Concussions are no joke. Tyler Bertuzzi needs to take his time and make sure he’s absolutely 100% before he returns. When he’s ready to go, it’ll be great to have him back in the lineup. He seemed to be playing well next to Dylan Larkin before he got hurt.
