UPDATE: Daniel was traveling, and we couldn’t get a good connection. We are going to reschedule, hopefully for next episode.
We are getting ready to record Episode 42 of our NHL podcast “Fer Sure: A 200 Foot Podcast.” If you missed the last episode, you can catch up here.
Please remember that Fer Sure is dedicated to the entire NHL (and more) and that we may not get to all (or any) of the questions. We try to get to at least some of the questions every episode, but we can’t always do it. Our other podcast on the network, WIIM Radio, is dedicated to the Red Wings.
Our guest for this episode is Daniel Carcillo, who played 11 NHL seasons for a total of five teams. Today, he is known for his work through his Chapter 5 Foundation, whose mission is “to help athletes discover their new purpose and transition into life after the game.”
Daniel is an advocate for athletes to be provided with proper information about the danger of and treatments for head injuries. If you haven’t been following his work, here is a video he made for the most recent Bell Let’s Talk Day:
Please send in questions in the comments, or you can also tweet questions to us here.
We are talking to Daniel Saturday evening ET. If you want us to see your question, get it in by 7pm ET. Jay and I will then record the rest of the show either right after or Sunday, so you have a little more time to ask questions for Jay and I to respond to outside of the interview segment.
As a reminder, this isn’t a discussion post, and if people start answering the questions that other people ask, it can be difficult to fish through them when we’re recording. Basically, if it doesn’t end in a question mark, please don’t put it here.
Look for Episode 42 in your podcast feeds and this website Monday morning. If you are using a podcast app, you can find both this podcast and WIIM Radio (our podcast devoted to the Red Wings) in the same channel - Winging it in Motown.
