In Red Wings Land
Coach Blashill said Filip Zadina will be called up to play Sunday. #RedWings

The Red Wings are calling up Filip Zadina and he will make his NHL debut tomorrow against the Sharks. The 6th overall pick in last year’s NHL draft has been playing pretty well down in Grand Rapids.
Filip Zadina now up to 5 goals, 11 points, and 31 shots in his last 10 games. Really starting to find his groove

Not too shabby. I’d love to see him get some ice time alongside Dylan Larkin. Maybe a chance on the power play too. Sunday was originally just another game this season, but has quickly turned into a must watch for Wings fans.

IT APPEARS THE BLUE JACKETS ARE “ALL-IN” AFTER DUCHENE TRADE | The Hockey News
I appreciate the Blue Jackets going “all-in” because it takes Matt Duchene off the board as a trade option for teams and it also likely means that Artemi Panarin won’t be moved by Columbus. This could be good for Detroit because all the sudden Gus Nyquist’s name just moved up on some folks wish lists.
