Mike Tirico to call Red Wings game on NBCSN, his first NHL assignment | Freep

NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico, who lives in Ann Arbor, will call his first-ever NHL game on Feb. 20 at Little Caesars Arena where the Detroit Red Wings take on the Chicago Blackhawks.

I’ve always thought that Tirico has done a great job in his career whether it was on Monday Night Football or the NBA or even golf. It’ll be cool to hear a new voice on an NHL broadcast.
