In Red Wings Land
DET prospect Filip Hronek named best defenseman at the World Championships by the IIHF Directorate. @m_bultman— Corey Pronman (@coreypronman) May 26, 2019
Filip Hronek sure had himself a great tournament, eh?
The Czech defenseman put up three goals and 11 points in 10 games. He was 12th overall in scoring and finished plus-3. As mentioned above, Hronek was named the best defenseman of the World Championships. This is an excellent start to his offseason and should give him confidence heading into next season.
How did the rest of the Red Wings players do?

Backes’ new buddies vs. Backes’ former buddies
“It’s now a reality. We’ve got one team to beat,” said Boston veteran David Backes, who captained the Blues until Armstrong opted not to offer him a new contract in the summer of 2016.
I think Backes losing to his former team is the thing I want to see the most in this Stanley Cup Final.
