Islanders 3, Red Wings 2

PREDICTION

Detroit seems destined to win a little more than 30 games for a fourth straight season. Yzerman retained Blashill, who was given a two-year contract last spring, but there may be a change on the bench by this time next year.

”It’s overrated,” Montreal Canadiens forward Max Domi added at the recent NHL/NHLPA media tour in Chicago. “That being said, everyone knows who the leaders are on the team.”

Seems like a relevant topic considering Steve Yzerman, Jeff Blashill and the Red Wings decided to go with four alternate captains this season.
