Three Keys to the Game

Keep being wild with Fabbri’s deployment. One of the ways that Blashill used this flawed roster effectively on Sunday was with Fabbri’s deployment. If Blashill decides to go with seven defensemen and eleven forward again, he can use Fabbri as a suprising element to exploit weaknesses in Carolina’s game.

Bernier has to stand tall. This Wings team isn’t going to give their goalies a night off. Bernier has been excellent since a slow start to the season, but if the Wings want to get back some cred this season, Bernier has to lead the way.

Stop giving me heart attacks, Bowey. His last game was undisciplined, with bad penalties, bad passes, and some questionable coverage. The Red Wings rely in him more than they should have to, but Bowey needs to seize the opportunity and make the best of the tough situation.
