With training camp practices set to begin Thursday in Traverse City, the Red Wings released the training camp roster and schedule early Wednesday.
The team will bring 35 forwards, 20 defensemen, and seven goalies:
An interesting tidbit: Kirill Tyutyayev will suit up for the Grand Rapids Griffins this season, so it will be nice to get a handle on what kind of player he is.

Other newsworthy headlines going into camp:
Only one player opted to not get the COVID-19 vaccine, and unfortunately that player is Tyler Bertuzzi:
Yzerman says every player is vaccinated except Tyler Bertuzzi, who chose not to— Max Bultman (@m_bultman) September 22, 2021
This is concerning news, not only because he has a child on the way, but this decision puts the team at risk. It doesn’t sound like the team will take any action on this, but it means that Bertuzzi won’t be able to travel to Canada, and that means he will be leaving money on the table:
Red Wings play 8 games in Canada. NHL salaries are determined by days not games, but Tyler Bertuzzi will forfeit over $400,000 this season if he continues to decline vaccination. And that's before any other time missed for COVID-19. https://t.co/hE9Hehp7Gq— Stephen Whyno (@SWhyno) September 22, 2021
Dylan Larkin won’t be a full-go to start camp according to HSJ:
Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman says Dylan Larkin not cleared for "no holds barred" contact, but can get involved in "controlled contact" in practice. Jamie Benn shoved his stick into Larkin's neck in April. Wings begin camp Thursday.— Helene St. James (@HeleneStJames) September 22, 2021
Due to NHL healthy and safety protocols, the previously-announced Training Camp Golf Classic and Alumni and Celebrity Game have been canceled for 2021
