Day 2 of the 2020 NHL Draft: How to watch, potential picks for Red Wings

Usually around this time of the year, we are kicking off the NHL season.. But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we’re about to start day 2 of the 2020 NHL Draft. Nearly 200 prospects will eagerly wait throughout the day to find out if their name is being called. Usually the 2nd day of the Draft falls on a Saturday, so tuning in might be tricky for a lot of us. Here’s how you can watch:

The top-five picks weren’t all-too surprising — maybe the 5th pick from Ottawa was a bit of shocker. I don’t think anyone in their right mind had Jake Sanderson going in the top-5 picks.

The Red Wings have the first pick of the day at 32nd overall — The Wings will follow that up with two more picks in the 2nd round (45, 54), and then two more in the 3rd round. In all, Steve Yzerman has 9 picks at play today. The Red Wings got their elite talent in the 1st round, and could benefit from potentially moving back in the Draft today to gather more picks.
