How about Dennis Cholowski?
The fact Cholowski worked his way onto the opening night roster, given the fact he was penciled to be headed back to Grand Rapids at the start of camp, is a credit to his work ethic over the summer and overall development.
Filip Hronek is probably the more popular answer, but I could see Cholowski having himself a breakout year. If either young defenseman makes a big jump, that’s great news for the Red Wings.
