The Red Wings headed to Long Island last night for another exhibition game that went to overtime. Much like Friday, the Wings fell to the Islanders in the extra period. Michael Rasmussen and Evgeny Svechnikov were your goal scorers for Detroit. Jimmy Howard made 40 saves in the loss.

PREDICTION
Detroit seems destined to win a little more than 30 games for a fourth straight season. Yzerman retained Blashill, who was given a two-year contract last spring, but there may be a change on the bench by this time next year.
