Joe Veleno and top prospect Alexis Lafreniere played ‘what if’ as Red Wings teammates | MLive

He called Lafreniere “a game changer.”

Mock 2020 NHL Draft: Lafreniere consensus No. 1 pick | NHL.com

1. Detroit Red Wings

Morreale -- Lafreniere: Lafreniere has dominated the QMJHL and likely will become the third player from that league chosen No. 1 in the NHL Draft in the past eight years after Halifax forward Nathan MacKinnon (2013, Colorado Avalanche) and Halifax forward Nico Hischier (2017; New Jersey Devils).

Obviously we don’t know how the NHL draft lottery will turn out, but it’s still fun to see what potential order the players could go this June.
