He called Lafreniere “a game changer.”

”(He can) take control of a game whenever he wants,” Veleno said. “It was fun to play with him as well as watch him on the ice when I was on the bench. Just an unbelievable talent, for sure.”

Seems like Alexis Lafrenière would be a great fit with the Red Wings, eh?

Morreale — Lafreniere: Lafreniere has dominated the QMJHL and likely will become the third player from that league chosen No. 1 in the NHL Draft in the past eight years after Halifax forward Nathan MacKinnon (2013, Colorado Avalanche) and Halifax forward Nico Hischier (2017; New Jersey Devils).

Obviously we don’t know how the NHL draft lottery will turn out, but it’s still fun to see what potential order the players could go this June.
