In Red Wings Land

Robby Fabbri producing, Andreas Athanasiou stepping up for resilient Red Wings | MLive

Acquiring Robby Fabbri in a trade with St. Louis has paid dividends early. He has points in all three games, scoring two power-play goals in his debut – a 4-2 victory over Boston – and setting up the game-winning goals in each of the past two games.

“He’s been great,” Larkin said. “He’s a playmaker. He gets the puck and it’s going to someone with a purpose. Adding a guy like that who can make plays and does it a lot … and he’s a crafty guy, he’s been an energy guy and a huge addition.”

Have the Red Wings finally found themselves a successful second line in the trio of Robby Fabbri, Valtteri Filppula and Andreas Athanasiou?
