‘We need everyone to buy in’: The early days of Steve Yzerman’s era as GM of the Red Wings | ESPN
He won’t give any clues on what he’d like his team’s identity to be -- “To answer your question, yeah, I do know what I’m looking for. Do I want to elaborate on it? Not particularly. Can I? Not particularly,” he said -- nor any particulars on how he would categorize the 2019-20 season as a success, besides “everyone in the organization, at all levels, getting better.”
The Red Wings organization is in very good hands with Steve Yzerman leading the way.
D-Boss, TV Star
Dylan Larkin will be showing off his good hands as part of the debut episode of “NHL Network Ice Time” this morning. The show hits the air at 9AM and will re-air again today at noon and tomorrow at 10AM.
Larkin on his saucer pass demo: “It comes in handy for creating turnovers as a centerman, when you’re around the puck a lot. Anytime a guy tries to saucer one by you, I feel like it’s more getting your eyes and hands working at the same time. Just another skill if you can break up a couple plays and get the puck back, why not.”
