Red Wings hockey is back, baby! After a relatively quiet and wildly successful offseason, we can get back to doing what matters: cheering the good guys on as they battle things out on the ice!
For obvious reasons, HCTM has his work cut out for him in the early goings of this nascent season. We suddenly have a ton of youth on the active roster; and it will be interesting to watch how line chemistry develops.

Shesterkin/Garand
Shesterkin started last night (and got the first goalie goal in NYR history!) so I expect Garand, but NHL.com has Igor listed.
An interesting litmus test to start this season, to be sure. Our first opponent is already on the second half of a back-to-back. I wonder how involved Kolesar will be as a counter to the size of NYR’s bottom six. More importantly, how cohesive and energized does the team look from puck drop? A lot of these yutes have a ton to prove as they try to establish themselves in the League. I, for one, am just super happy to be excited for hockey after this trash heap of a summer. As the late, great Lewis Prothero says, “Good guys win. Bad guys lose. And as always,” Let’s Go Red Wings!!!!
