Time to right the ship, fellas. After a stretch of troubling outcomes, including 1 of a possible 4 points on the Sweden trip, the Red Wings are back home before tomorrow’s holiday hoping to take care of business against a struggling New Jersey squad. Hischier remains out after a head injury, and that seems to have the entire Devils squad slumping. Detroit absolutely needs to take advantage.

Keys To The Game
Blend For Smooth Gravy. The Line Blender is back at work. If the changes don’t result in gravy, Lalonde needs to quickly move back to some standard lines. If nothing produces, please just don’t play so bad that fans chuck these babies on the ice:
Don’t Bring A Dish To Pass. The Devils’ netminders are not showing well so far this season. Take. The. Shot. The extra pass is probably just extra at this point. Put the puck on net and see what happens.
Family In Town. Brendan Smith and Tomas Nosek are back in the building – who knew they were still playing hockey! Treat them like that crazy uncle that comes to town and make sure they feel as awkward as possible – the kind of awkward that causes you to do stupid things like play the puck from the bench. Speaking of family, it’s also probably a good idea to key-in on the Hughes brothers. Jack is 2nd on his team with 22pts, and Luke is tied for 2nd among Devils defenders with 10pts. With Hischier still out, shutting down the bros will go a long way to shutting the whole team down.
Serving Promptly At 7:00. OMG PLEASE JUST START ON-TIME!
