Game Day Updates: Canadiens vs Red Wings

Credit: Terrence Lee-Imagn Images

The Red Wings are losers in four of their last five games and are quickly approaching “sell” mode, especially if they can’t take care of the Montreal Canadiens at Little Caesars Arena tonight.

Some noteworthy lineup news — Patrick Kane is out tonight with an upper-body injury. It’s not clear when he will return but going off what little information we have, it doesn’t sound like this is a serious injury. We’ll have to wait and see. Joe Veleno will likely be back in the lineup with Kane out.

The Canadiens are ahead of Detroit in the Atlantic standings and have won their last two games. They are 11-11-1 on the road this season. They have been really good this month, having lost only a few games and have sevens wins to show. Not an easy matchup for Todd McLellan and his guys.
